About Us.
Every year, Análise Editorial conducts the ‹Análise Advocacia› project ― «The Most Admired Law Firms and Lawyers in Brazil by Major Companies» ―, the largest and most relevant survey in the Brazilian legal market.
The annual survey involves only the legal heads of the two thousand largest companies in Brazil, invited to spontaneously respond with the name of the law firm they most admire, in which specialties that firm particularly stands out, and who their preferred lawyers are, regardless of whether they use their services. The result is a unique panel showcasing the legal services available in the market and the most qualified lawyers to provide them.
Adding up all the recognitions attributed to the firm by the yearbook since 2012, ― when it was first listed ―, the firm has received 8 nominations. In this period alone, Vaz de Almeida has grown an incredible 400% or more in any considered indicator.
In addition to the 8th recognition among the «Most Admired in Brazil» , Análise Advocacia also listed the firm for one of its specialties, Tax Law, led by Mauricio Santos Nucci; and for the 2nd time, Amanda Pesciutti Duarte, in the list of «The Most Admired Lawyers in Brazil». Amanda is a Partner in the Corporate Area, which encompasses Corporate Law and Contracts, along with the hubs of Digital Law and Intellectual Property; Mauricio Nucci is a Partner in Administrative and Judicial Tax Litigation and in the strategic tax planning consultancy hub.

The 2023 edition of Análise Advocacia also recognizes the firm’s outstanding international performance in serving the Automotive and Auto Parts Sector. A significant part of the firm’s clients are tier 2, with headquarters in countries such as Germany, France, Italy, the United States, and Japan.
The survey classified Vaz de Almeida Advogados among the «Most Admired Law Firm in the State of São Paulo» Brazil’s most dense and competitive market; and, finally, as a «Comprehensive» law firm, meaning it is qualified to provide services in all legal areas applicable to the Economic Sectors in which its clients operate.
/ Análise Advocacia’s reputation
According to Alexandre Secco, a partner and editorial advisor of the Análise Advocacia yearbook, «The publication does not aim to directly assess the technical quality of legal services provided in the country, nor would it have the competence to do so». «What we set out to do — and this we do with undeniable quality — is to list the most admired law firms and lawyers from the perspective of those who truly have something to say: the clients.» Silvana Quaglio, CEO and publisher, along with Ligia Donatelli, research manager, stated that the publication’s purpose is primarily to contribute to the corporate market, which increasingly seeks objectivity in the process of hiring quality law firms. They highlight that «Many companies have begun using the yearbook as a reference in their hires.»
Alexandre Raciskas, the project’s commercial director, acknowledges that there are excellent lawyers among the «Most Admired» recognized by Análise Advocacia, but there are also outstanding lawyers who have not yet been detected and mapped by the yearbook. The survey operates on an objective and inevitably exclusive and selective premise: it only surveys the two thousand companies with the largest net revenues or net assets (if financial institutions) with operations in the country. This premise is a limitation of the research, which focuses on the corporate legal universe, a particularly competitive ecosystem concentrated in the country’s main metropolises.
